Preview. A design draft for board review. The marching band competition schedule is real; board names, contact details, and donation and swag links are still placeholders.

Support Us

Money and hours both count, and the club needs more of the second than people expect.

Donate

Donations go directly to competition fees, travel, equipment, and festival costs for Sachem performing arts students. Any amount is useful; recurring gifts are the most useful, because they let the board commit to a season before the season starts.

Swag

Shirts, hoodies, decals, and the trailer-and-tailgate gear that turns up at every field show. Proceeds come back to the program.

Fundraisers

Fundraising covers most of what the club spends. Here is what is running now and what is being planned.

  • Marching band

    Raffle baskets

Baskets built by families across the district and drawn once during the marching season. Basket contents, ticket prices, and the drawing date go here as they are set.

Tickets are sold in person only, at concerts and competitions. We do not sell raffle tickets online.

    The Home Show

The one competition we host, and the single biggest fundraiser of the year. Admissions, concessions, and hospitality are all run by parents.

  • All performing arts

    More in the works

The board is planning fundraisers that reach past the marching season: events open to the whole community, and efforts tied to a specific ensemble or production.

Run a fundraiser before, or have an idea nobody has tried? The board would rather hear it early than late.

The one we host

Sachem Home Show

Sunday, October 18, 2026 · Sachem High School East

One competition a season is ours to run, and it is the club's biggest fundraiser of the year. Visiting bands, their families, and judges all come to Sachem East, and everything they see and buy that day is run by parents.

It takes a lot of people. If you help with one thing all season, make it this.

  • Admissions and ticket tables
  • Concession stand: setup, serving, and breakdown
  • Hospitality: feeding and looking after visiting directors, staff, and judges
  • Parking and directing traffic
  • Hosting visiting bands and guiding them to warm-up
  • Equipment and pit crew through the day
  • Cleanup after the last band

You will not miss the performance. Our band performs a second time at the end of the day, outside of competition, so the volunteers who worked the show still get to watch them on home turf.

And if you are not volunteering, come anyway. Neighbors, grandparents, alumni, and anyone curious what a field show actually looks like are all welcome in the stands. A full home crowd is worth something to these students.

Volunteer

Marching band is the loudest ask, but it is not the only one. Chorus, orchestra, and every theater production need people too.

  • At competitions and concerts

Concessions, ticket tables, chaperoning, bus loading, and the pit crew that moves equipment on and off the field.

  • Backstage at a show

Sets and props, costumes, hair and makeup, running crew, and ushering on performance nights. Every theater program in the district needs hands.

  • Fundraising

Help run an event, gather basket donations, approach a local business about sponsoring, or bring an idea nobody has tried yet.

  • Behind the scenes

Counting a cash box, sorting uniforms, updating this website, taking photos within district media rules, or sending the email nobody else got to.

  • Just show up to a meeting

Genuinely useful. Come hear what is being planned, tell us what your student needs, and go home. No commitment attached.

You do not need to be musical, and you do not need a student in the program. Tell us roughly how much time you have and what you are good at, and we will find something that fits.

Sponsor

Local businesses can sponsor a season, an event, or a piece of equipment. Details on levels and recognition will be posted here.
